I'm kinda Really Freaking Out

So, T-7 days until I arrive on a flight to Utah.  Don't get me wrong, I'M EXCITED.....

But, if you remember reading my post about our flight to Arkansas with London...you'll see why I am terrified to fly with London again.  Ok, let's be honest... I'm scared, chewing my nails, having nightmares, throwing tantrums, pulling my hair out..... a little dramatic?  Yes, but seriously, I'm kinda really freaking out on this one.

I have spent the last week...give or take....researching things that, HEAVEN HELP ME, will make for easier traveling with baby.  Learning from last time + researching, I have come up with these things to make my travels relaxing... NOT... But, maybe bearable.
  • Arrive to the airport early...... MAKE sure I have time to get hot water for London's bottles.  Not only will I be traveling with London alone again, I will be traveling with London and Dot alone.  Should make things interesting.... Arriving early is a MUST.
  • Hand out earplugs to everyone around me before the plane takes off.  I'll tell the passengers, "Just in case."  That way, the other passengers won't feel awkward asking the flight attendant for some ear plugs while London is wailing her lungs out and I can have a peace of mind knowing that the other passengers won't want to kill me entirely.
  • Bring Herbal Teething drops.... helps calm baby and fussiness.
  • This time, I won't be afraid to ask the flight attendant right off if I can have an extra seat if any are available.  Having that extra seat could save me with my squirmy exploring cutie.
  • A new toy/book should be brought.  That way, baby will be more interested in them for longer periods of time because they are new.  Since London is a book-a-holic, I bought 3 new books that make sounds, lift flaps, lift lots of flaps, are colorful...pretty much the whole shebang.  I'm also going to get a new FUN toy.  Lastly, I will be bringing a keyring full of real keys.  No fake keys.  London only likes the real thing and totally loves them.
  •   Lavender essential oil.  A MUST.
  • I don't like resorting to technology....aka my iphone.... but desperate times call for desperate measures.  Since London is a bit..ok, a lot...obsessed with my phone, I have LOADED that sucker with baby friendly apps.  That should keep her entertained for a WHILE.  Fingers crossed.
  • Her favorite yellow silky blanket... in the small chance she'll want to catch a few zzzz's.
  • Lastly, lot's of healthy and yummy snacks, as well as lots of extra formula.
Here's to officially hoping this flight goes a whole lot smoother than the last.  We even scheduled the flight so she can sleep in and even take her morning nap.  That should help.

If you have any suggestions that have worked for you while traveling with a cute one.  Let me know.

Beautiful, cooler than Arkansas, cute home, fun, family, eating on a regular schedule, fantastic..... UTAH here I come!!

  1. good luck! We just went to California, and I was by myself with nixon on the way out. Basically all my tricks I thought would work didn't. In the end it was the hand and arm of the old lady sitting next to us that entertained him. Haha. very strange I know!
