T-2 days until Christmas.
We are still cleaning up the remains of a giant hut we built for London two days ago,
"Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Mitmas." is coming out of London's mouth every 2 min,
We've watched Mickeys Christmas & Polar Express 243,987 times,
"I comin (I'm coming), fwollow me (follow me), & wockey wock (rockey rock)," have been some new cute London words, Dot has been on a leash & walked around our house a bazillion times,
& London has a new obsession with taking off ALL her clothes when I put her in her crib.
We've had a B U S Y Christmas season thus far.
With Christmas parties, ice skating, snow shoveling, Pickleville Christmas play, cookie making,
Jazz games, live nativity, santa, mommy/sister nights, girls nights....etc etc etc..
I LOVE this time of year, but sometimes,
I feel like it can get pretty hectic with all the running around.
This year, I've really tried hard to s l o w down & enjoy the small things.
London has really brought the true meaning of Christmas into our home this year.
She has said & done the sweetest things
& I can't help but share our sweet London moments with ya'll.
So, without further adieu, here is Christmas according to London:
- One night while at my parents, we went outside to look at their nativity in their yard. London exclaims, "CarSeat, Jesus." We couldn't help but laugh as we realized that she thought the manger looked like baby Jesus in a carseat.
- We have a big picture by our table that has Santa holding baby Jesus....so, every morning at breakfast she says, "Santa, Baby Jesus," 400 times.
- And speaking of baby Jesus. Baby Jesus is Baby Jesus whether he is baby Jesus or he is the adult Jesus.
- I decided to put real candy canes on our tree this year....I bet you cant guess who is at the tree all day begging & snatching.
- The word Pomegranate has transformed. First it was pomegranny-pomaganit-pomoganit-and now Pomegranate.
- Faster than I have time to think, London has baby Jesus snatched off our entryway table, & is rocking him really hard while saying, "sh, sh, sh, sh, sh,"
- We finally bought a train to go around the Christmas tree this year, & boy has it been an incredible source an entertainment. We say hi to santa everytime the train comes around, we give Minnie, Mickey, & Donald train rides....and now recently, we give the sheep from our nativity train rides.
- Her favorite three ornaments on our tree is her first Christmas ornament, a happy holidays ornament, & the jingle bells ornament. Her first Christmas ornament is a bassinet...so, everyday, we put her little bunny to bed in the ornament, and we sing jingle bells while jingling the bell.
- She loves finding herself...and mommy...and daddy...in the shiny ornaments.
- My favorite thing.....She gets as many Christmas books as she can hold, & brings them up to me....along with her blanky...and says, "tuggle, touch (snuggle, couch.) And we read, read, read, read all the days long.
- She has been insistent upon sleeping with her baby Jesus book.
- She's obsessed with the ISPY Christmas book & loves to find all the hidden pictures.
- Once their was a snowman, Jingle Bells, & the Christmas song has been on London repeat.
- She has a fisherprice Nativity set that she loves to play with.....oftentimes, I'll catch her eating with them & wiping their mouths after she takes a bite, wrapping up baby Jesus in a wet wipe, & flying the angel around the house.
- She has the sweetest heart. We watched the Grinch & she was devastated that the Grinch was sad.
- Recently, she's figured out that Mary can fit on one of her horses...so, Mary gets horsey rides alllllllldayyyyy long.
- She loves to wear her "snownan boots."
And........drum roll....I'm thinking London is about ready to be potty trained.
She uses the toilet often, AND, she came up to me the other day & said, "Change my diaper."
New Years Potty training here we come.
"Merry Mitmas."
