P.S... If anyone knows how to get you're blog published into a book or something, let me know how to do it.
Instead of trying to catch up on the last 4.5 years of my married life, I'm just going to share a quick paragraph about where each of us are right now.... Here it goes!
Blake: Blake is getting his nursing degree at Utah State University.... Yes, he is STILL going to school. Do me a favor, and say a prayer that one day (soon) he can be done with school haha.....he has been going that long. Blake works at Vivint selling alarm systems. Blake LOVES sports. He especially loves basketball. We watch every single Jazz game! Recently, Blake has loved going shooting. Lastly, Blake is the BEST dad/husband in the world. I could write pages upon pages of things about Blake..... but we'll stop here.
Bug: I am one lucky girl. I get to stay home with my baby!! I love it. I taught first grade for 1 year, and then I got pregnant with my little London. I am SO fortunate that I have such a hard working husband. He makes it possible for me to stay home with my little munchkin. Although, I would never change my decision to stay home with London, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my darling first graders. I love and miss them every single day. I loved/love teaching with my whole heart....it truly is my passion. I hope that one day, I will be able to teach again.... I would love to go back and teach when all my kids are raised. Here are just a few quick things about me that will bring ya'll up to date. I LOVE anything artsy: oil painting, decorating, fashion, and photography. I love running, it's my way of relieving stress. I do photography on the side....if you want to check out my photography blog, you can click here . Also, I sell darling vintage inspired baby headbands, blinky clips, and leg warmers on etsy.... that are TOTALLY affordable...you can check out my etsy page here ....just something to keep me in touch with the career world.....I LOVE it. So fun.
London: London is 3 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day...to be exact. We LOVE HER SO MUCH!! She is so fun. Her latest achievements/developments: Loves to watch me wherever I go, LOVES to suck on her hands, loves to stand up with help, loves her jumperoo, loves playing with rattles, LOVES to laugh and smile, loves to look at herself in the mirror, and lastly, she already LOVES books (how can she not love books? She was a bit doomed when she became a first grade teachers daughter. The fact that I own 1500+ children's books probably doesn't help the odds either.) I love it! London is our everything. We love her so much!!
Ok, enough of the boring stuff..... Here are some fun things we have been up to lately.
London got to go to her first movie theatre movie. We attempted to go to footloose at Cinefour...upon arriving at Cinefour, we were informed that footloose was not playing. Blast our iphone flixster app... We were also informed that the only movie playing at our desired time was Tin Tin. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest....let's just say I like cartoons/Disney movies more than the average 6 year old. Blake obliged after a small elbow poke from me. The movie was great by the way. London loved it. She literately sat like this on my lap for the ENTIRE movie. Of course we had to get a large popcorn.....Movie theatre popcorn is a favorite treat of Blake and I's. Oftentimes, we'll stop at the movie theatre just to get the popcorn and then bring it home and watch a movie.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
This was our attempted Valentine family picture. Of course, London is very distracted by my colorful shirt.
Love my two kissable Valentine's!
London's Valentine's day consisted of jumping around in her jumperoo. Doesn't my baldy just have the sweetest face and eyes? I can't resist.

I gave Blake some Valentine vouchers and a year of dates. As I was thinking about what to get Blake, I realized that we were slowly becoming an old couple. Now, the reason I say we were slowly becoming an old couple is because we just do the same old, same old....never anything spontaneous or new. Who has time to do something new when there are Vampire Diaries and Running Wilde episodes to be watched on netflix? So, instead of deteriorating our lives in front of the TV, I thought I would make 52 preplanned dates. One date a week. These dates are anything and everything from going out and doing something, staying in and doing something, simple, more complex, fun, adventurous, chill, and a few of them are defiantly out of our comfort zone.... Each Sunday, we get to pick a new date for that week. The dates have to be completed sometime during the week.

Here are some close-up's of the date gift.
I had Blake draw a date to do this week. He drew out a pretty boring one....The date for this week was to go over finances and figure out a budget....... BORING...but at least we had each others good company to make it fun. We did our date this afternoon because Blake had to leave today to go to New Mexico for work. He won't be home until late Saturday night. I already miss him. I decided I wanted to document our year of dates....so, a picture is a must for each date. Here we are going over finances on the Ipad.
YAY! I get to be your first blog comment! I love you guys!
ReplyDeleteWow, you're already a pro at this! Your blog looks so cute, and I love your first post. Plus I'm excited you're putting up pictures of your dates so we can get good ideas for ours! We've seriously lacked in going on fun dates. I'm super impressed with the planning you guys did for your gifts. Thanks for the invite!
