Louisiana Embers

Holy Cow!!
I'm home.
It feels soooooooooo nice....
but, more on that later.
I need to do some serious catching up.
I'm all caught up on photo & editing sessions..
perfect time to blog my little heart out.
Bear with me as I do a little catching up.
Like I have said before,
I am so grateful for my iphone for capturing all these priceless & sometimes blurry memories.

Louisiana has such a special spot in my heart.
Really, twas my favorite place I have been to in the USA.
Louisiana food has an even more special spot in my  heart.
While we were in Louisiana, we ate a ton of seafood.
Seafood is my favorite food...right behind pizza.
We tried crawfish for the first time & ate it regularly.
I even cooked it sometimes.
We had fresh crab that a crab boat brought back for us.
We even had the guts to try alligator & frog legs.
However, my favorite thing about Lousiana was the mint julep drink...non alcoholic of course.
My mouth is watering even thinking about it.
Hands down, best drink I have EVER had.
It might even win over Harry Potter land butterbeer.

Louisiana was SO HOT & HUMID.

My normally straight hair, would naturally dry like this.

Didn't know extreme humidity would make my hair exceptionally curly.

 

Each summer, my good friend Kayde & I celebrate Harry Potters B-day..

shopping for ourselves was a good celebration.  

I'm pretty sure people around town thought I was about 12 with my HP shirt & braces.

I'm sure you would assume this about Louisiana, but they have FRIGHTENING large cockroaches.

This is how I trapped one until Blake got home to kill it.  

London really got into the Louisiana spirit at times.

London's favorite things....
