The London Lowdown: 9 Months

Here I am again...checking in at 9 months.  My mama took my 9 month pictures at a really cool flea market.  Here they are.  My dad says I am a little Pocahontas in this outfit. 

Here are some of my stats/achievements/goals:

• I weigh 17.3 pounds.  We finally found a scale to get my weight.
• I have SIX teeth.  Let's just say we all had a torturous week as 4 teeth broke through at the same time. 
• I finally wear size 3 diaper.
• I am busy. busy. busy.  I pull myself up on the couches, cupboards, walls, entertainment center, bed... pretty much any surface.  I side walk when I hold onto something.  I LOVE to walk with my walker.  I can get up to it by myself and start walking. 
• I am one HAPPY girl.  I can laugh/smile at almost anything.  
• I have a serious obsession with a new favorite toy..... that's right my friends... I LOVE to play with tampons. My mom caught me in the act. 

• Dot is my BEST buddy/sidekick.  I follow her around all day long.  She is becoming quite fond of me too.  She likes to bring her toys up to me and we play fun games like tug-a-war and keep away. I'm usually wherever Dot is and Dot is usually where I am. 

• I still HATE everything about my carseat.  I let everyone know.  HATE my stroller.  LOVE the backpack my mama wears me in.
• I finally reach for people....most especially mama and daddy.  It melts my mama's heart.  
• I'm a jabberjaw..... I talk all day long.  
• I am so curious and observant.  My mama has been doing some fun texture, sight, smell, and taste centers with me once a day.  We have been doing some really fun things.  We have played with cornmeal (I loved the texture and ate it by the handfuls) , ripped paper, played with food colored ice cubes in the tub (they also went in my mouth), and we are working on a few other things.  My mama uses this website that is awesome.  It has dozens of activities for every stage.  Here I am with our cornmeal adventure.

• I am getting lots of blonde blonde blonde hair.  Sometimes when the light hits my hair, it looks like it might have a slight strawberry tint.  
• I am officially a MAMA's girl!  My mama doesn't mind one bit.  
• I LOVE to stare at people who have brown/black hair.
• I am in LOVE with books.  Like I REALLY LOVE books.  I will sit there all day and read books.  Oftentimes when I have disappeared, my mama will find me in my room reading my books.  I would be the happiest little lassie if my mom read to me all day.  My mom couldn't be more proud....since she taught reading as a living :)  I guess it's just the teacher in her.
