Blake & I got woken up Christmas morning by quick & quiet footsteps running into our room & a beaming London pulling the covers down. "Yets go see what Santa brought us." Magic was just sparkling in her eyes & two very excited parents got out of bed to watch the magic of Christmas morning unfold. We made a quick pit stop to grab Penny from her room & then we started the Christmas magical journey down the stairs. There are some moments that will forever be burned into my mama memory & this Christmas morning will always be one. The way London ran down the hall with a big bright smile to see what Santa brought, the way Penny kept giving us her cheesiest smile when she saw her present, the way Penny just wanted to eat all the candy for breakfast, the sound of Frank Sinatra Christmas coming out of the speakers, the excitement that poured out of London over finding gum in her stocking, the fact that Penny wanted someone to read her a book first thing, the two blonde haired girls running around in matching red pajamas, the way London danced around in her new Anna dress & played with her new Anna & Elsa barbie......all of it. Every last second of this Christmas morning is engraven in me.
After opening presents & getting ready, we headed to the Allen's for the annual Christmas breakfast. We filled our bellies with the traditional strawberry waffles, bacon, & eggnog. London danced around the Christmas Tree in her Anna dress & sang frozen at the top of her lungs & Penny was just happy to eat & walk around. Steve + Heidi gave us the most beautiful handmade leather nativity that brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely stunning & precious in every way! After spending time with the Allen's, we headed over to my parents house & hung out with all my siblings. All the kids ran around in their matching Christmas Gma + Gpa pajamas & the adults played games, talked, & enjoyed our time with one another.
After putting the girls to bed, Blake + I ended our evening by watching Home Alone.
Another lovely Christmas in the Allen history.
