My first time at Tony's Grove did not disappoint. The only disappointing part about the whole ordeal was that I hadn't discovered this stunning place earlier. What a breath taker! The pine trees were surreal & the aspen's were dreamlike. Amy + David came with us & I'm so glad they did. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with Amy + David & my girls absolutely adore them. The girls immediately decided that they wanted to play in the water. It was a coolish fall day & so I didn't think they would want to get in....thankfully, I packed London's suit at the last minute....but, failed to pack Penny's. However, London was wet before I could get her suit on. We managed to keep her shirt dry though & quickly changed her into her suit. Penny, was our little mowgli child running around on her hands & feet & playing in the dirt & water. The temperature quickly dropped & the girls were ready to get out. Unfortunately, I didn't pack any other clothes for London (since hers were dripping wet), but I did for Penny. Doi. Hand to forehead. So, we put London in Penny's pants & put Penny in her other clothes. Once the girls were in warm + dry clothes, we hiked around the paths & enjoyed the scenery. Blake might have carried me on his back the majority of the time because earlier that day, I ran in a mud run & totally rolled my ankle. Ouch. London found a few spots that she wanted to stop & sketch in her nature journal. Once we were done walking around...mostly due to my foot....we packed up & headed to bear Lake to grab some grub. It was a perfect day trip & I am already dreaming of warmer weather + A TON more Tony Grove. Until then.
