Two of my friends out here (sage + Eliza) + I were able to sneak away one morning without our kids + give flat top another go. I really wanted to do it without my kids because last time it scared me too much. It was seriously such a fun hike! We all enjoyed being kid free for .2 seconds & it felt nice to get out & do something just for me. The rock climbing at the top was insanely fun & when we finally made it, there was a flag waiting for us! The climb down was just as fun!
These two girls have been my lifesaver this summer. They are friends that I can vent with (because we are all in the same position...no husbands around all day..doing it on our own), eat chocolate cake with after the kids go to bed, laugh with, + they have become my family this summer. I'm always so grateful for the friendships I make during the summer times....even if we don't stay in contact very well after the summer is over, I know we made a difference in each others lives when we were together.
