After the reindeer farm, we drove up hatcher pass & explored Independence Mine. I seriously LOVE stuff like this. I love love love love love old abandoned things. There's just something so mystical + enchanting about something that's been abandoned. What stories + secrets does these type of places hold? I love it. There was a trail that went up the mountain & all around all the ruins. It was seriously so breathtaking awesome. I loved every minute. I loved seeing the train rail disappear into nothing. My dad said something really interesting. He told me that if they would have just kept painting these buildings, they wouldn't have fallen down.
