Homer

SO, for the first time in all history, I slept in the same bed as both my girls!  With Penny laughing + kicking me all night & London's snoring + sleep talking....well, lets just say it wasn't the best night of sleep.  But, it was the funnest night of sleep I have had in a while!  Steve + Heidi left for a bear tour before we got up & so when I got up, I couldn't help but take a few pictures of my sleeping angels.

I was able to spend the entire day exploring the cute town of Homer with my girls.  We first stopped at Bishop's beach + the amount of seashells the girls collected + sand up our noses was uncountable.  It was such a relaxing morning at the beach.  My girls could play at the beach all day long + it was so fun for me to watch them.  We made camp over by a bunch of driftwood + an umbrella stuck in the driftwood...after about an hour of playing right there, I realized that a man was underneath the umbrella + was laying on the driftwood AND taking pictures.  I'll just pretend he was camped out taking pictures of the beautiful scenery and NOT us.  Although we wanted to stay + play at the beach, our growling stomach's had other ideas.  We found ourselves at the cutest little restaurant that served the yummiest soup + pastries.  It's always so fun for me to just take my girls out with just us + have a date day & they love the attention.  The spit drew my curiosity + so that was our next destination.  On our way out to the spit, we drove past a line of old broken down ships.  We hopped out + walked along them.  London kept saying that the big ship was Prince Eric's old ship.  Once you go into one shop on the spit, you've been to them all.  So, I didn't waste much time shopping around & just headed to a beach access on the spit.  I was able to sit + relax + watch the girls & the girls inspected every rock + grain of sand.  Steve + Heidi eventually needed to be picked up (if you run into them, ask them to tell you about their bear adventure.  It's an adventure they will not soon forget.)

Homer, you stole my girls + my girls heart.  I will always remember + treasure the special time I had exploring with my sweet girls.  A day to remember for sure!
